Assistant Professors

It is proposed to fill up the following Group ‘A’ posts at Central Institute of Psychiatry, Kanke, Ranchi on contract basis for a period of one year or till the post is filled up on regular basis whichever is earlier. Accordingly applications are invited from the eligible and desirous candidates fulfilling the qualifications for the posts mentioned below. Applications on plain paper either typed or handwritten along with two passport size photograph, photocopy of the certificates of educational qualification, experience etc., may be submitted to the undersigned before ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­21.10.2013. After submission of application candidates have to turn up on the date of interview. No interview letter will be issued separately. In deserving cases age and experience criteria may be relaxed and even retired person upto the age of 62 years may be allowed to appear for interview. Experience in private sector may also be considered.

The interview shall be held at Central Institute of Psychiatry, Kanke, Ranchi-834006, Jharkhand,

on 21.10.2013 at 09.30 a.m.

I.           Essential Qualifications :

(i)                A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

(ii)             Post-graduate degree in the concerned speciality mentioned in Section –A of Schedule-VI or equivalent.

(iii)           At least 3 years teaching experience in the concerned speciality as Lecturer/Tutor/Registrar/ Demonstrator/Senior Resident after the requisite Post-graduate degree qualification.

  (The essential teaching experience may be relaxed from 3 years to 1 in the concerned speciality as Lecturer/Tutor/Registrar/ Demonstrator/Senior Resident after the requisite Post-graduate degree qualification at the discretion of the Selection Committee if a person is found otherwise suitable).
