IBPS exams are the exams for banking recruitment in India. Jobs in banking sector have always been at top priority for many professionals who intend to target the financial and banking sector from career point of view. Since past two years, recruitments in the banking sector have been a priority for many Public Sector Banks due to myriad retirements of employees throughout India and majorly due to prevailing of financial inclusion as a result of which numerous branches have started operating in rural and semi urban areas including tier 2 cities, districts, small towns and villages. The aim of financial inclusion is to provide smooth and easy banking facilities to people in the areas such that transferring of funds, salaries and other important transactions happen in a very unbiased and accurate way, which shall also be corruption free.
Keeping in view the demands and requirements of the banking sector, especially in public sector banks, an institution known as IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) was setup with an aim to evolve and implement a system so as to select professionals who can cater the present environment of the banking sector and deal with the latest evolving activities in banking such that the banking sector strives through a blend of modern technology and a positive approach.
As we all know that a complete swing in the economy of the country is taking place at the moment, therefore, IBPS recruitments have been created in order to select the best candidates in banking and finance industry such that the future of these sectors becomes bright and accurate. IBPS intends to recruit young, smart and talented professionals in 19 public sector banks at all levels starting from clerical level till the managerial level. It runs a completely unbiased and fair common recruitment exam at these levels, which tests the mental, analytical and arithmetic ability of a candidate and also tests the adeptness of a person to respond to various situations that occur on a daily basis in these banks nowadays. The competency of a person to manage time and pressure which also involves heavy public dealing at times is also judged through various rounds of interviews and group discussions. A candidate found suitable during these interviews is finally selected and is offered a pay package, which depends on the post he has been selected for. There are limited numbers of posts in IBPS exams for different categories.
The IBPS recruitment organizations consists of a total of 21 public sector banks who wish to recruit employees through a common all India entrance exam such that the best talent from all over the country is recruited at all levels which are Clerical, Probationary Officers (Future Assistant Managers), Specialist Officers including IT officers, Law Officers, Marketing Officers, Technical Field Officers in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and IT, Manager Law, Language Officers, Network Administrators, System Administrators, Database Administrators, Charted Accountants etc. in both JMGS –I and MMGS-II scales. Started in 2011, the IBPS exams are going to go a long way and will help a lot of people getting jobs in various banks.
