Senior/Junior Linguist,Language Editor,Senior Technical Assistant

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates (Indian nationals only) on a plain paper for the temporary post(s) in the research project entitled “INDIAN LANGUAGES CORPORA INITIATIVE” (ILCI) – Phase II (Odia language), sponsored by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Department of Information Technology, Govt. of India as mentioned below:
  1. Senior Linguist (Unreserved) 30,000/- 01 Ph.D./M.Phil. in Odia OR a native speaker of Odia with a Ph.D./M.Phil. in Linguistics OR language disciplines. Applicants should be interested to work on the Odia language and computer literacy and administrative experience will be an added advantage.
  2. Junior Linguist (OBC) 20,000/- 01 At least an MA degree in Odia with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent OR a native speaker of Odia with at least an MA degree in Linguistics/ any language & literature subject with a minimum of 55% of marks or equivalent. Applicants should be interested to work on the Odia language and computing Odia language will be an added advantage.
  3. Senior Technical Assistant (OBC) 20,000/- 01 MCA/M.Tech./M.Sc./BE/ B.Tech in Computer Science with good programming abilities in the Natural Language Processing (NLP) area. Knowledge of the Oriya language will be an added advantage.
  4. Language Editor (Unreserved) 10,000/- 01 A P.G. degree in Odia or linguistics/language disciplines with a minimum of 2 years of experience (if the candidate’s mother tongue is Odia).
Tenure : 12 months (subject to Satisfactory Performance Report after six months) on purely temporary basis
