Project Scientist
National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI), Mohali, an autonomous R&D Institute under Department of Biotechnology, Government of India invites application for the position under the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) sponsored research project.
- Number of Positions: One
- Area: Plant Metabolic Engineering and Molecular Biology.
- Essential Qualification: Ph.D. awarded in any branch of life/plant sciences.
- Desirable qualification: a) Excellent academic record with research experience in area relevant to plant metabolic engineering and molecular biology. b) Knowledge and experience of Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry based technological analysis of samples and standardization of methodologies for fractionation, separation and identification of bio-molecules. c) Relevant research publications in reputed international journals with five or more cumulative impact factor.
- Age limit: 35 years as on the last date of receipt of application.
- Remuneration: Consolidated @ Rs.40,000/- per month. Leave, medical and other benefits as per NABI rules.
The interested candidates may appear for a Walk-In-Interview on 29.10.2013 by the prescribed Application Form available on the website www.nabi.res.in. The duly filled application form with all supporting documents must be submitted at the time of registration from 0900 hrs to 1100 hrs on 29.10.2013. The candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates would not be interviewed. Evidenced by publications in high impact factor journals (cumulative impact factor five or more) in relevant areas are critical for shortlisting of candidates for the interview. Application form must be supported by attested certificates, photograph, address including telephone, e-mail, qualifications, experience, analysis of research publications with respect to impact factor and a 1000 word statement on the research area of interest and its relevance to metabolic engineering and molecular analysis of pro-vitamin A in banana.
