Probationary Officers and Management Trainees recruitment is conducted by IBPS. The exam for these vacancies is known as IBPS CWE for Recruitment of Probationary Officers/Management Trainees or commonly known as IBPS PO exam and is approved by Government of India.
IBPS PO CWE held on 17 June 2012 last year with the participation of 19 public sector banks. The allotment process for the vacancies of Probation Officers and Management Trainees for year 2013-14 has been completed.
The complete examination process was online and the results were declared on official website of IBPS. Declaration of comprehensive result of Common Written Exam and Interview were announced online in second week of February 2013. At the time of advertisement, the number of participating banks was 19, however, total 21 organizations participated with around 24000 thousand vacancies.
The age limit for the examination was 20 to 20 years for unreserved category. Relaxation for upper age limit was given to SC, ST, OBC, people with disabilities, ex-serviceman, domicile of Kashmir division, 1984 riot affected people, RRB employees and PSB employees.
The written examination consisted 5 sections with 50 objective type questions each and a descriptive paper on English composition. Objective section consists of Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness and Computer Knowledge. Total maximum marks for the examination were 250 and total time given was 2.5 hours for objective exam and 1 hour for descriptive examination.
Maximum average score was approximately 73 marks out of 100 while minimum average score was 52 marks out of 100. The maximum marks awarded in any category were 81.96 for unreserved category wherein minimum marks for any category were 42.84 for visually impaired category.
The examination was conducted at various venues across India so that no candidate can find it difficult to take the examination. The center preference choice was also given to candidates.
Upon successfully clearing CWE and Interview, eligible candidates were required to register their preference of the organizations.
